Youth for Sustainable Coffee Farming

Jóvenes por la Caficultura Sostenible (Youth for Sustainable Coffee Farming) is a project launched in April 2023, with the mission of sparking interest in sustainable coffee production and regenerative agriculture among new generations of children of coffee farmers in rural communities in Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Veracruz, thus ensuring a vital and refreshing legacy on Mexico’s coffee farms. Over the course of nine months, these students will learn about business model innovation, accounting, finance, technical crop management, regenerative agriculture, productivity, and sustainable quality.

The program Youth for Sustainable Coffee Farming is more than a diploma; it’s a seed of hope that germinates in the hearts of our young coffee farmers, inspiring them to embrace the value of tradition while innovating toward a prosperous and sustainable future. By providing them with the tools, experiences, and knowledge necessary to cultivate their passion for coffee, we encourage them to be defenders of the land and ambassadors of the authentic flavor of Mexico. This commitment not only transforms their lives and those of their families, but also renews the legacy of coffee farming, ensuring that the aroma of coffee remains in every cup of Café Mexicano®.

 

 

This is not just an educational project for Café Mexicano® and Sabormex®; it’s a long term commitment to the future of Mexican coffee, to the coffee-growing communities, and to the land that has given us so much.
